LOCATION: Arizona
DESCRIPTION: This ranger station is a ~6,000 SF ground-up, new office building for park administration and rangers, and is located at the base of South Mountain. The project featured unique plywood grain finished 8” and 12” thick exposed concrete walls along with a Corten wall and soffit panels. The panels were specifically selected since they naturally rust an orange color, and it was desired to “blend” in with the desert surroundings creating a more natural look.
