Brycon performed a historic renovation of four traditional homes for the Pueblo of Sandia, adjacent to their historic Plaza. We maintained the historical and cultural integrity of the original structures, while adding modern features as required.
These projects were sensitive in nature due to high-visibility locations and significance within the Pueblo. Throughout the project, Brycon maintained a heightened awareness in respect to the homeowners and adjacent homeowners, while respecting their cultural traditions. The scope of work included complete renovation of the homes consisting of both exterior and interior components. All areas of the homes were worked on including living areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchens. The projects included demolition and reframing of walls, utility relocation and additions, and heating and cooling systems. Interior renovations included flooring, cabinetry, plumbing, electrical fixtures, lighting, and new appliance installations. Exterior renovations included roofing, stucco, windows, and exterior patios with decorative columns. Experience with adobe restoration was required for this project.
